This pair of R. Huber scoop lounge chairs is a strong Canadian mid-century furniture set with sculptural teak frames, deep lounge proportions and the classic rounded scoop shape Huber chairs are known for. The chairs work well in a living room, reading corner, office, studio, lounge area or layered vintage furniture setup.

The teak frames were in fantastic vintage condition at the time of sale. They had been cleaned and freshly oiled, giving the wood a rich, warm finish. The chairs retained their original upholstery, but the fabric showed visible wear and tearing, as shown in the photos.

These chairs were still excellent candidates for restoration. The original upholstery could be used as-is with a throw or faux sheepskin, or the chairs could be professionally reupholstered in a period-appropriate fabric. Upholstery options were available through experienced upholsterers familiar with vintage furniture and R. Huber scoop lounge chairs.
